Rite of Bonding: Duty Calls

A gloom had settled over Shimora as the seasons changed that seemed only to reflect Fen's state of mind all too accurately. She spent much of her time avoiding her duties - preferring to spend her days alone with Jun-Jin somewhere. Her large shi'vali was the only thing she could find any comfort in even though they spent much of their time together in silence. Fen relished in these days as she grew closer to the large striped male but they would have to come to an end.

The young rider had seen how the land was dying. Fires ravaged the lands - burning away all the crops the people needed to survive the brutal winter. Now snow blanketed the charred ground, tarnishing any hope of bringing to life any fast growing crops. She could no longer avoid duties. The people would need all of the royal family to lead them through these times. Still, even knowing this Fen was reluctant to leave her favorite spot overlooking the valley. The chill nipped at her skin, causing goosebumps to rise on her arms, and snow fell in the distance obscuring the mountains.

Fen's chest heaved with a deep sigh as she sat upright. Jin made a deep, throaty noise as he turned his massive head towards her. "We have to go home." She said softly, staring still into the mountains. "We'll find him once the people aren't in danger anymore."

WOO Fen had found a nice isolated place for her and Jin to relax away from anyone who might bother them while Fen mourned her fiance. Unfortunately, the dramatic environmental changes and attempt on the Khan force her to return to her duties but she resolves to set out to find where her fiance is as soon as she's able to leave.

That's right this is tied to the Shimora in Peril events e ue
Hopefully I'll be able to do more story stuff with them involved in the actual events too but that just depends on how much spare time I have. x3
